17.04.2023 – Inspire, exchange, shape, develop – this is the motto of the second Paderborn Robotic Summit, which will take place this year from May 5 to 6.

Robotic assistance systems have become indispensable in many hospitals. Millimeter precision over hours is only one advantage of the systems. The potential of robotics for medicine is great, but is not yet fully explored. For this reason, Szabolcs Szeöke, head physician for spinal surgery at the Brüderkrankenhaus St. Josef in Paderborn, Germany, initiated the Paderborn Symposium. Over two days, the use of robotics in medicine will be discussed at this year’s Summit. In presentations, experts will provide information on which challenges can be solved with robots today and in the future. The open discussion rounds offer an active exchange between the expert audience, medical professionals and companies. DLR scientist Julian Klodmann from the MIRO Innovation Lab (Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics) will also give a presentation on the research perspectives of surgical robotics. In addition, companies will present their products and services and start-ups their innovative solutions in the parallel exhibition.
