At the end of the first year of funding for the ForNeRo project, the project management team and the Bavarian Research Foundation presented the current status of the research to the independent experts. At the invitation of the Bavarian Research Foundation, the experts Prof. Burgert, Prof. Hansen, Prof. Rauter and Dr.-Ing. von Tiesenhausen had the opportunity to gain an impression of the progress of the project on site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation, which lasted almost six hours, offered a detailed insight into the experimental operating theatres set up especially for ForNeRo. These were equipped with state-of-the-art measurement technology in order to test and further develop the robot-assisted systems under realistic conditions. The live demonstrations of the innovative technologies being developed as part of the project were particularly impressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feedback from the reviewers was consistently positive: the ForNeRo project was awarded the rating \u2018Excellent\u2019 for the first year of the project – a confirmation of the project’s outstanding research performance and high potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ForNeRo<\/a> (\u2018Research Network – Seamless and Ergonomic Integration of Robotics into the Clinical Workflow\u2019) is a project funded by the Bavarian Research Foundation that aims to improve the integration of systems while taking into account the needs and capacities of operating theatre staff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
