This year\u2019s\nOpen Day of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen was held\nunder the patronage of Hubert Aiwanger<\/strong>.\nThe Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economics, Development of\nthe State and Energy visited the individual institutes after holding his\nopening speech. This includes the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, in\nwhich the MIRO Innovation Lab is embedded. Professor\nAlin Albu-Sch\u00e4ffer, head of the institute, particularly presented current developments\nin the areas of service robots and artificial intelligence (AI) to the Minister\nof State. Among other things, Mr. Aiwanger got to\nknow the Miro-Surge-System, on which the MIRO Innovation Lab is continuously\nworking on. The Open Day took place on the 21st<\/sup> of July 2019 and was\nthemed \u201c50 years Moon Landing\u201d in light of the moon landing on 21st<\/sup>\nof July 1969.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the event, Mr. Aiwanger twittered about his visit. He states that complicated\noperations can be mastered better than by using only the \u201chuman hand\u201d and that these applications benefit mankind, thereby\nunderlining the importance of the DLR site Oberpfaffenhofen for Bavaria and our\nresearch in the medical robotics sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
