On Wednesday, 10th of July 2019, we will inform about the EU-project DIH-HERO and the funding-opportunities for small and midsized enterprises(SMEs) and start-ups available. Furthermore you have the chance of gaining insights into the medical research of the MIRO Innovation Lab and will be informed on how we can support you with the development and assessment of robotic technologies. The event will take place at the DLR-Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich.

Digital Innovation Hubs in Healthcare Robotics, in short DIH-HERO, is a pan-European network in Healthcare Robotics started in January 2019. The German Aerospace Center (DLR) joins the network with its MIRO Innovation Lab as well as its projects SMile and VITA.

The network will facilitate the intensive exchange and mutual support of industry, sciences and clinical partners. One major aim is to bring innovation to the market quicker, for patients, clinical and care staff to benefit from it. The European Union has granted 16 million euros for the project, of which 8 million euros will be distributed to start-sps and small and midsized enterprises in a series of cascade funding.
