24 June 2020

The Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery, or CARS for short, has become one of the most important forums in specialist circles with renowned international speakers. Host of this year’s event from the 23.-27. of June 2020, which takes place once a year at changing locations in Europe, is the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the TU Munich.

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the 34th CARS will be offered as a virtual platform this year. Interaction with speakers and participants are also possible.

The Klinikum rechts der Isar with its research group MITI (Minimally Invasive Interdisciplinary Therapeutic Intervention) is the clinical partner in the MIRO Innovation Lab. Julian Klodmann, Head of Medical Robotics at the DLR Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, will take over the technical chair at the “Robot-assisted Image-guided Therapy” session on Wednesday, June 24th from 5:45 p.m. Further highlights of the event and the complete program can be viewed under https://www.cars-int.org/cars-2020/scientific-program/final-program/.
