18.08.2023 – This year’s 22nd Annual Meeting of the German Society for Computer- and Robot-Assisted Surgery (CURAC) will be held under the motto “Medical Robotics Week”.

The mission statement of CURAC is to motivate, guide and support the translation of innovative technologies from basic research, to clinical implementation through targeted collaboration.

From Aug. 24 – Aug. 26, 2023, the CURAC program offers workshops and funding events in addition to the conference. In Basel, one of the most innovative cities in the world, the latest research in computer- and robot-assisted surgery will be presented and the exchange of scientific contributions and exciting discussions are expected.

Alexander Kirst from MIRO Innovation Lab (Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics) will present his paper on “A Novel End Effector for Telemanipulated Suturing in Robot-Assisted Laparoscopy” in a session on Aug. 24.
